Nurmes House

The Nurmes House is a local culture house, which contains the city library, the Tyko art gallery, the Kötsi Museum, the cinema and the Harju café. The Nurmes House offers a magnificent lake view of Nurmesjärvi.

The renovated Kötsi Museum presents the history of the Nurmes and Valtimo regions. You can also spend time in the museum viewing historic feature films and documentaries. The museum is open Mon-Fri 10 am – 4 pm, free admission.
