Ellu’s Tour

The 6.5 km hiking trail to Ellun Kota Hut introduces you to the traditional landscape of North Karelia at its prime. The trail veers from the Manor tour of the Hyvärilä Youth and Holiday Centre. The trail is suitable for hikers of all skill levels, and it is easy to traverse by a mountain bike as well. You can also get straight to Ellun Kota Hut by bike or car via the Paavela road, which turns from Kohtavaarantie road. Next to the hut, there is a small campfire and a beach. There is also has a shed and a campfire site where you can enjoy a picnic in the embrace of peaceful nature.
