Peurajärvi is an ideal family destination for those who enjoy fishing. The sandy shores and pine forests of the Peurajärvi camping area are also a pleasant walk with small children. There are water bodies in the area, from clear lakes and small ponds to winding rivers. Peurajärvi is part of the Metsähallitus recreational fishing areas, so obtaining separate permits for certain water areas (Iso-Valkeinen and Urtti Valkeinen) is an important consideration.
